Airport Injuries

Fall at an airport while traveling

The airport is busy, full of people in a rush, lugging wheeled bags, backpacks and suitcases to try and make their flight. Especially over the holiday season, airports are over-capacity with people not paying attention to the many dangerous conditions around them: spills or leaks left unattended, maintenance or clean-up jobs left half done and abandoned, or even the constant stream of airport vehicles driving through the concourse and beeping for you to get-out-of-the-way-or-else with no signs of slowing down. And those are just a few of the dangerous conditions before you start the boarding process!

Now you have made it to your gate relatively unscathed, but you are in Group 6. You are rushing to board the plane with limited overhead bin space, so you don’t have to gate check your carry-on. You are herded from the gate through the jet bridge to the plane, but of course it is not a level surface and it is slick, too. If you are able to make it through the boarding process in one piece, you will have to face all of the above dangerous conditions now in reverse as you de-plane and exit the airport to arrive at your destination.
