Construction Negligence

injured on a construction site

Construction injuries are all too common and can be catastrophic or even fatal.  Construction sites are very dangerous places and there are numerous hazards that can cause injuries.  It is very common for construction injuries to lead to both a workers’ compensation claim and third party personal injury claim when there are multiple contractors on a work site.

When a construction injury occurs, the injured worker will almost always have a workers’ compensation claim.  For more explanation on these types of claims click here.  Additionally, if a worker from a different employer caused the injury or it was an unsafe job site, the injured worker may also have a case to pursue against the responsible parties or those parties who were responsible for maintaining a safe job site.  Investigation into what caused the injury, who was responsible, and the various witnesses and contractors on the job site is imperative.  Sometimes OSHA conducts an investigation, but often they do not, and it is incumbent upon the attorneys to investigate the claim early on and throughout the litigation process.

The attorneys at Adeszko Abate and Green have recovered millions of dollars for construction workers injured on job sites.  They also are able to handle all aspects of the injury claims including the workers compensation claim against their employer and the third party claims against other contractors and responsible parties.  The importance of this and the benefit to the client can not be overstated.  For more information on the importance of handling both claims within one firm, see our blog post on this issue.
