Alex D. Abate

Founding Partner Alex Abate has been prosecuting cases on behalf of injured individuals and their families for over fifteen years.  He concentrates his practice on complex injury and wrongful death cases.  He has extensive experience prosecuting automobile claims, construction injury claims, premises liability claims, minor sexual abuse claims, medical malpractice claims and work injuries.  He has been the lead attorney and an integral part of obtaining over $50 Million on behalf of injured individuals and their families.  He prides himself on not only maximizing the gross recovery for his clients, but also guiding them through the claim and litigation process, coordinating the interplay of insurance coverages in such a way to maximize his clients’ net recovery from any settlement or award.

He has received numerous accolades throughout his career including being recognized by his peers as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine on multiple occasions, an honor given to only 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois each year.  He has also been recognized on numerous occasions as an Emerging Lawyer by LeadingLawyers.com, a division of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company, an honor bestowed upon only 2% of attorneys in Illinois each year.  He is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, an organization of Plaintiff’s lawyers dedicated to giving a voice to those that need it most – individuals injured or even killed because of the wrongdoing of others.

Mr. Abate graduated from the Chicago-Kent College of Law with Honors after earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  When he is not prosecuting claims on behalf of injured clients, he is spending time with his wife and three sons, golfing, spreading awareness about 22q (Google it), and cheering on the Fighting Illini, White Sox and Blackhawks.
